About
A laboratory,
not a factory.
Sirene Labs is an independent software laboratory based in Redmond, Washington.
Founded in 2026, the lab exists to explore what small, focused software can do — tools, systems, and ideas built carefully and shipped when they're ready. We treat software as a craft of iteration: prototype, test against reality, refine.
How we work
- Small scopes, finished properly. We'd rather ship something little and complete than something big and almost.
- Ship early, revise in the open. Real feedback beats internal polish.
- Write things down. Most experiments end up on the blog — including the ones that don't work.
- Boring technology where it counts, new ideas where they matter.
Who
Sirene Labs is currently a one-person operation, founded and run by Mikola Godaeus — an engineer with a background in quality systems and a habit of building tools to make tedious work disappear. The lab grows when the work demands it, not before.
Why "Sirene"
A siren is a signal that cuts through noise. That's the bar for everything we ship — if it doesn't say something clearly, it isn't done.
